dottools (“we”, operated by Peter Swan) builds Android utility apps — Weight Tracker, QR Code Pro, WiFi Manager and Food Diary & Water — and runs this website, dottools.top. This policy explains exactly what data is collected by each of our apps, who collects it, why it is collected, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and how you can have it deleted. If anything below is unclear, email us at [email protected] and we will answer.
The records you type into our apps never leave your phone on their own:
This content lives in the app-private storage area managed by Android. It is not transmitted to servers we operate and we cannot read it. Backup files you export are saved where you choose and are yours to keep or delete. Everything is erased whenever you uninstall the app or clear its storage (Settings → Apps → the app → Storage → Clear storage).
The free features of our apps are funded by ads, and we use a small number of SDKs to keep the apps reliable. These partners collect the following data automatically, under their own privacy policies:
Collects: the device advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / GAID and related resettable identifiers), device model, manufacturer and OS version, screen metrics, coarse region derived from IP address, and ad interaction events (impressions, clicks, conversions). Used for: serving, personalizing and measuring ads, fraud prevention and billing. Your choice: you can reset or opt out of the advertising ID in Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads) or via Google’s ads policy; apps remain fully functional. An optional in-app purchase removes ads entirely.
Collects: in-app event logs (which features are opened and used), app version, device model, OS version, app language and country-level region, install/update source. Used for: understanding which features are worth keeping and improving. No precise location, no contacts, no personal profiles are built.
Collects: stack traces and diagnostic logs when the app crashes or freezes, device model, OS version, app version, and the state of the app session at the moment of the crash. Used for: reproducing and fixing crashes. Without this data we would never see the bug.
Collects: purchase tokens and licence verification data when you buy an ad-free or VIP unlock. Used for: verifying and restoring your purchase on your devices. Payment details stay between you and Google Play — we never see your card or PayPal information.
The site is static HTML. It sets no cookies and runs no tracking scripts. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard security request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to protect the site from abuse, per Cloudflare’s own policy.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Data is shared only as follows: with the technology partners named above so they can perform their functions; with Google Play for purchases and app distribution; and with law enforcement only if we are legally required to, which has never happened. Your in-app records are never shared with anyone because they never reach us.
Your records: kept on your device until you delete them, clear app storage or uninstall the app — we hold no copy. Advertising, analytics and crash data: retained by Google and Meta according to their retention policies. If you email us from the device or account in question, we will delete or provide a copy of any data associated with you (for example, our support email thread) within 30 days, and we keep no other databases to search.
Wherever you live — including under the GDPR and CCPA — you can ask us for access to, correction of, a portable copy of, or deletion of any personal data we hold, and you can object to certain processing. You can also opt out of personalised advertising through your Android device settings. None of these requests affect the price or quality of our apps. Write to [email protected].
Your records are protected by Android’s per-app sandbox; any network communication (ads, purchases, diagnostics) is encrypted with TLS. Because we deliberately keep almost no user data on our side, there is very little to steal. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we keep collection to the minimum needed to run and fund the apps.
Our apps comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Where a Google API integration exists, we transfer only the minimum data needed, use it solely for the feature you requested, never share it with advertisers, ad exchanges or ad networks, never use it for personalised or interest-based advertising, and only request access when you actively use the related feature. If a dottools app ever offers “Sign in with Google”, it would access only your name and email address for the sole purpose of restoring your data on a new device — and this policy would be updated to say so before that feature ships.
Our apps are general-audience utilities and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support email, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy as our apps evolve. The updated version will always be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date; material changes to data collection will also be announced in the app.
